Meet Quentin: Expressive Student Leader

“I don’t think a lot of people understand that HACC is ‘real’ and the classes are equally as difficult as they are at universities.”

Ask any student at HACC what they love most about their community college experience, and you will likely get dozens of different responses. Quentin Boatwright, vice president of the Gettysburg Campus Student Government Association, said, “I love that HACC has really opened up and allowed me to join clubs to really be able to express myself and my future profession.”

That freedom of expression clearly means a lot to Quentin. He said that HACC’s marketing classes are the best fit for him because he is “a very outgoing and creative student.”

Although students have many different reasons for loving HACC, one thing that stands out is the cost. Quentin, like many of his peers, chose HACC because it is close to home and affordable.

Quentin shared another sentiment that many of his fellow students have expressed. He said, “I don’t think a lot of people understand that HACC is ‘real’ and the classes are equally as difficult as they are at universities.”

The challenging academic experiences and energizing social opportunities at HACC will prepare Quentin for his next step – transferring to Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
