Summer 2021 classes will be taught through remote instruction and virtual learning except for hands-on portions of approved classes. Fall 2021 classes will be taught through remote instruction, virtual learning and in-person instruction. To ensure you are viewing all available options, please do not select a campus when searching for classes.


Course Options for the Fall 2021 Semester

Courses will vary in how they are offered. Although we are explaining each option, all courses will not be available in every format. Please click the links below to watch a short video explaining each course option. This information is tentative and subject to change.

On campus
  • In-person instruction will provide all aspects of the course on campus at scheduled times.
  • Your exams will take place on campus.

Fully remote
  • In remote instruction, faculty and students meet, via Zoom, during scheduled class times. 
  • None of your exams will take place on campus.
You love the flexibility of taking classes from the comfort of your home, and you enjoy engaging with your faculty members face-to-face via Zoom. None of your exams will take place on campus.

On campus and remote
  • Some of the components of a course will be taught on campus. All other aspects of the courses will continue through remote instruction.
  • The course will be taught at scheduled times that are split between on campus, in-person instruction and remote classes via Zoom. For example, a class may be held on campus on Tuesdays and via Zoom on Thursdays (both at scheduled times). 
  • Your exams may take place on campus or remotely.
You love the flexibility of taking classes from the comfort of your home, and you enjoy engaging with your faculty members face-to-face on campus.

Virtual learning
  • Virtual learning classes typically do not have a scheduled time when faculty and students meet together.
  • In virtual learning, as long as due dates are met, students’ work can be done on various dates and times.
  • None of your exams will take place on campus. 
You love the flexibility of taking classes from the comfort of your home, and you enjoy working independently and completing your coursework at your own pace.

On campus and virtual learning
  • The course is split between on campus and virtual learning. For example, a class may be held on campus each Tuesday at a scheduled time.
  • Students will log into D2L Brightspace, an online tool, and complete their assigned work.
  • As long as due dates are met, students’ work can be done on various dates and times. 
  • Your exams may take place on campus or online.
You enjoy engaging with your faculty members face-to-face on campus, and you enjoy working independently and completing your coursework at your own pace.

Remote and virtual learning
  • This replacement for in-person instruction combines remote and virtual learning. For example, a class may be held via Zoom on Tuesday at a scheduled time. Students will log into D2L Brightspace, an online tool, and complete their assigned work.

  • None of your exams will take place on campus.

HyFlex
  • Hybrid Flexible (HyFlex) courses allow flexibility in how students attend class on campus or via Zoom.
  • This course offering may be piloted in the fall 2021 semester.

 

You love the flexibility of taking classes from the comfort of your home, and you enjoy engaging with your faculty members face-to-face on campus. Either way, your faculty members will be physically teaching on campus.
