HACC Foundation Allocates $136,361 for HACC Programs and Projects
 
HARRISBURG, Pa. – The HACC Foundation recently provided funding for key projects at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, including funding to update the York Campus automotive laboratory.  
 
The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises private contributions in support of HACC, approved $136,361 for projects at the College. This funding is made possible through generous contributions from individual and organizational donors.
 
The HACC Foundation funded the following projects:

York Campus Auto Lab NATEF Accreditation Upgrades	Funding was provided to update the York Campus automotive laboratory to meet the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) standards.	$89,000
iPad Pro and Accessories for Demonstration of and Student Practice on Adobe Creative Cloud Mobile Apps	Funding for tablets and accessories was provided for faculty members to demonstrate Adobe application and make student practice available.	$1,346
Zoom Video/Audio Recording Field Kits and Canon Video Recording Field Kits	Funding for cameras and kits was provided to replace unserviceable equipment. The cameras will be provided for student usage in several multimedia classes.	$6,028.22
Supporting Men of Color in the Community College	This funding will support the Men of Color initiative at HACC, which is focused on connecting new male students of color with seasoned students for peer mentoring. In addition, the initiative is focused on leadership development and special events for male students of color.	$12,000
Central Dispatch Public Safety	Funding was granted to establish a central dispatch  as the single Public Safety answering center for all HACC campuses.	$23,355
E-Learning Conference	Funding was provided for a HACC faculty member to attend a conference and increase knowledge related to online education and retention.	$2,451
HIST 218 Academic Field Trip	Funding was provided to support an academic field trip to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.	$180.80
2017-18 Inclusion and Diversity Innovations Awards	Funding was provided to engage students in submitting entries related inclusion and diversity awards and providing monetary awards for the top entries.	$2,000
