WARE welcomes all HACC staff, students, faculty members to join this energizing and restorative class! Yin/Yang Yoga is instructed by Beth Harenza of A Sweet Repose LLC. She believes in the soulful, healing power of yoga on the mind and body. Additionally, she offers services at Ampersand Integrative Wellness in Reading, PA.
The Yin/Yang Yoga class will begin with active, yang poses: practice alignment-based slow flow postures to open and soothe hips and head/neck/shoulders. These simple, warming movements will also stretch and strengthen the body. The class will end with deeply relaxing yin and restorative poses. Balancing energy medicine techniques are woven throughout. Participants will leave class with an alert yet easygoing vibe, and take-home strategies to balance out the days that follow. All levels welcome!
Props needed:
Yoga mat (or any non-slippery surface with room to move)
2 blocks (or two stacks of books bound together, each about 4 inches high
Additional props for comfort (optional):
Firm blanket or a large beach towel
